  11. Confession of Sin Most High God, you are our Sovereign King. You created us in love that we might know you and walk in your ways. Yet we are often weak, proud, rebellious children. We have all like sheep gone astray and turned to our own way. You have laid upon Jesus all of our sin and iniquity. How we thank you for the certain hope of the gospel. We praise you that the grace of your Son Jesus is greater than all our sin. We thank you that your power within us is mightier than the power of the Evil One. Reign in our hearts that we might glorify your name to a broken, skeptical world. Amen.

Scripture Reading Mark 6:30-44 30 The apostles gathered around Jesus and reported to him all they had done and taught. 31 Then, because so many people were coming and going that they did not even have a chance to eat, he said to them, “Come with me by yourselves to a quiet place and get some rest.” 32 So they went away by themselves in a boat to a solitary place. 33 But many who saw them leaving recognized them and ran on foot from all the towns and got there ahead of them.
