Preparing to Study Business BTEC Level 3
Your lessons will be… • Taught by Mrs Harper, Head of Business and Mr Turner • Varied in style and include a variety of activities e.g. • evidence for assessment • Maybe generated through a range of activities including • assignment and project work, case studies, workplace • assessment, role play and oral presentation. • Focused on you being an independent learner • interesting and include relevant examples and case • studies • focused on completion of coursework
You can expect the following outside of school work… • research tasks • preparation for presentations including videos and PPTs • reading to prepare for lesson • skills practice • completion of coursework
The sort of things you will learn about… • a range of business organisations, and the many factors that shape the nature of organisations operating in an increasingly complex business world. • the range of human, physical, technological and financial resources required in an organisation, and how the management of these resources can impact on business performance. • how marketing, research and planning and the marketing mix are used by all organisations.
You can use these qualifications for/to • attract UCAS points when applying for University. • gain employment or an apprenticeship in the same, or related vocational area. • Set up your own business.
