  3. ULU President Key aims for the year: • Build an unstoppable city-wide campaign on housing • Create a serious, vibrant London-wide union • Defend education and the welfare state • Liberation and anti-fascism

ULU Vice President ULU Vice President Daniel Cooper • Royal Holloway Graduate • Former President of Royal Holloway Students’ Union. • Member of the National Campaign Against Fees and Cuts and active in Labour movement. • Former president of RHUL People & Planet and active in many sports teams and societies.

ULU Vice President • Housing: Establish the London Students’ Tenants Union – campaign for universities to act as guarantors for Intl students & care leavers – run a high profile campaign making the case for decent, affordable housing – offer guidance & support to students with housing difficulties. • Campaign to save our health services: mobilise students in defence of the NHS; defend health services on campus. • Defend Education: run high profile, national action against debt and marketisation. • Close, professional working relationship with constituent Students’ Unions: have a regular presence on campuses running joint projects with local members. • Fight for students and staff at work: win the 3 Cosas Campaign – secure the London Living Wage for staff at ULU – continue to make ULU a centre for London labour struggles – launch LLW campaigns in London SUs. • Student Activities (Daniel heads up the ULU Student Activities team): promote women’s & disabled student sport – organise a pan London sports/societies conference – offer training/development opportunities – make ULU a centre for sponsorship & grounds hire expertise. • Liberate London: run a campaign to make London underground accessible – campaign to secure prayer rooms on campus – strengthen & extend liberation representation and campaigning. • Formation of the London Union of Students and head up the Save ULU Campaign.

Officer – Campus points of contact • Each of the ULU officers has been assigned a London campus that they will be dedicated to, and act as the point of contact for any ULU related matters. • For joint projects, London-wide work - contact the allocated officer. • You can of course contact any of the ULU officers however we feel this system means that ULU’s presence on campuses will be best organised through allocations.
