  2. What is a demonstrative adjective? • Demonstratives help you to differentiate between items or people based on their proximity to the speaker or listener. • EJ: This pen. These pens. That pen. Those pens. • In English we have 4 demonstrative adjectives for distance and quantity.

  3. What about Spanish? • Spanish also uses demonstratives. Based on what you already know about agreement in both quantity and gender, what can you guess about Spanish demonstratives??? • RIGHTY-O! There will be at least twice as many, because Spanish always recognizes gender of nouns.
