On February 2, 2005, students from Lamar Area Vo-Tech, including representatives from DECA, FBLA, FFA, and Skills USA, participated in Legislative Day activities in the Capitol. Key participants Kelly Crockett, Dani Gordon, Austin Cooper, Travis Chorum, Denise Van de Mark, Megan Dixon, Joani Kirbey, and Jerry Rector engaged with various legislators including Rep. Ed Emery and Sen. Delbert Scott. The students toured the Capitol, visited the Governor's Office, and participated in discussions on important issues. Their involvement showcased the value of vocational education in the legislative process.
