  2. Strengths • Selling premium organic grocers in an upscale setting allows more wiggle room than others. • Marquee brand in organics. • Tailoring to the community it is around • Participate/fundraise in many projects (recycling, tips for going green, healthy schools.)

  3. Weaknesses • Fighting the “whole paycheck” myth (expensive). • Closing of 300 stores. • Expansion is slowing.

  4. Opportunities • International expansion allows more elbow room than the U.S. • Stepped foot into Canada and Great Britain. • Establish the organic food market (name brand).

  5. Threats • Economy. • Other stores providing some organic food for less. • Competition: • Trader Joes, Wal-Mart, Kroger.

  6. I would want to work for Whole Foods… •  Participate and promote many fun ways to help and preserve the planet. • Know you are working for an organization that is invested in important causes.

  7. I would and would not invest in Whole Foods… • The economy plays a huge part in the success of a store such as Whole Foods. • It is the only established organic store so it carries this trademark and name brand.
