  3. pressure groups : types of action • protest • letter writing, petitions • media events/publicity campaign • meetings with politicians • making recommendations to governments

  4. what can individuals do? • individuals can apply pressure on governments by • forming pressure groups • getting their opinions heard • using petitions • mass meetings, eg stop work meetings, strikes (ACTU)
