  1. My Family Pet By Daniella Greco Year 3 – Teacher

  2. My choice - Dog • The pet I have chosen to do is a dog.

  3. I chose to pick a dog as a pet because: • They are very active so we can walk them. • We have a fenced back yard so a dog can be kept. • We have a big back yard so the dog will have space to play. • Dogs are cute and fun to play with. • I can adopt a dog from the RSPCA - there are lots of dogs with no homes.

  4. Type of dog to get – a Chihuahua because: • Mum and me are allergic to cats and to much animal fur. So we would have to get a dog with short hair. • Our fence is low so we will need a little dog. • We like to go for walks and love to play so it has to be an active playful dog. • We have little kids at the house all the time so the dog has to be friendly and calm. • Dads not home a lot so the dog has to be a guard as well. • And because we all think they are beautiful animals 

Things I need to do : • We need to clear a space on the back veranda where the dog can sleep • We need to get it a bed, blanket and pillows • We need to get a Food and water bowl • I need to get some toys so the dogs not bored whileI’m at school • Ill need to get it some treats and dog food • A leash, a collar, and a name tag • And get a pooper scooper.

Why a dog ?? • I chose dogs because me and mum are allergic to cats • We don’t have space inside to keep animals like rats and mice and fish. • Birds can be noisy sometimes and fly around we have lots of windows open all the time so birds would fly away • We cant have reptiles because you need a license and mum hate slimy things  • We cant get chickens or goats or horses because the yard is to small fence is to low and we are in a neighbour hood with close houses and the noise and smell would be yucky.
