    8. The Downtown Transit Center Stocktons downtown public transit hub 6500 passengers pass through here daily Nearly all routes connect at the DTC 1 full city block with 4 bus lanes 2 Passenger Boarding Platforms provide 20 sheltered, off-street bus stops

Design Estimated costs--$2-3 million Estimated time--2 years RTD staff toured OCTAs newly opened Santa Ana Operations Facility during the APTA Conference in 2006 and then again during the California Transit Associations Conference in 2007 and thought about using the OCTA design to save time and costs

    11. Partnership with Monterey Salinas Transit (MST) MST was also planning to build a new Operations Center and was visiting transit facilities looking for design concepts MST liked the OCTA design MST and RTD met to discuss challenges with recent projects and the possibility of using the OCTA design RTD and MST held preliminary discussions with OCTA Staff and Design Engineers and concluded there might be an opportunity to save significant time and costs using the OCTA design RTD and MST held meetings with the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) to discuss procurement options to maximize cost savings

    12. Design The OCTA Board and CEO were supportive of the concept Large groups of RTD and MST staff, including Union and Board representatives, visited OCTA to tour the facility
