  2. Introduction • How did our universe begin? • The doctrine of creation is a central fact of our “faith” (Heb. 1:1,3,6) • The Bible doctrine of creation is found many places from Genesis to Revelation, about 75 references! Let us examine 7 key facts from the Bible about creation.

  3. The Bible Doctrine of Creation First, creation was an act of the Godhead: the Father (Acts 17:24), the Son (Jn. 1:3), and the H.S. (Gen. 1:2) Second, creation was a free act of God’s love (Rev. 4:11) Third, creation brought forth something: “ex nihilo” - out of nothing (Heb. 11:3)

  4. The Bible Doctrine of Creation Fourth, creation was accomplished instantaneously by God’s word (Psa. 33:6-9; 148:5) Fifth, creation was both of the visible and the invisible (Col. 1:16) Sixth, creation was accomplished in 6 literal 24-hour days (Ex. 20-9-11; 31:17)

  7. The Bible Doctrine of Creation No one but the Godhead observed creation. Therefore, creation is a fact that we accept by faith in God’s word (Heb. 11:1-3) We can learn some things about the Godhead and their creation by examining the natural revelation of God (Psa. 19:1; Rom. 1:20)

  8. The Bible Doctrine of Creation However, the Bible is our only divinely inspired source of information about the origin of the universe. God’s complete and final word must be accepted as our authority on the subject of creation, not the ever-changing theories of modern science!

  10. It’s Not Enough Just to Be A Creationist We must be a Christian – the “new creation” (2 Cor. 5:17; Gal. 6:15) A Christian is God’s “creation” (Eph. 2:10, 15; 4:24; Col. 3:10)

It’s Not Enough Just to Be A Creationist We must prepare ourselves for God’s “new heavens and earth” (Isa. 65:17; 66:22; 2 Pet. 3:13; Rev. 21:1) We must be the Lord’s seed (Isa. 65:23) who worship him (66:23); we must be found blameless (2 Pet. 3:14); we must be written in the Lamb’s book of life (Rev. 21:27)
