  2. Background Information • EyePoint was invented in 2007 • EyePointis an eye controlled computer mouse • Kumar invented the this mainly for the disabled • Works by allowing a computer user to control the mouse pointer with his/her eyes.

  3. Technology • A camera is placed on the top of the computer • The user will use a “Look-Press-Look-Release” technique • The user will press a ‘Hotkey’ • http://hci.stanford.edu/research/GUIDe/usingEyePoint.html

  5. Advantages • Feels more natural • Makes computers accessible for the disabled • Helps prevent long-term damage to a person’s hand joints, tendons, and nerves • This decreases the lag of moving the hand from the mouse to keyboard and vice versa frequently.

  6. Disadvantages • From the Testing Results: • Comfort Level • The EyePoint is still being tested and is not on the market
