  1. Wednesday evening

  2. WE COME TO GOD IN PRAYER Into your hands I commit my spirit; redeem me, Lord, my faithful God. Glory to the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and will be forever. Amen.

  3. WE PRAY PSALM 130 Out of the depths I cry to you, Lord; Lord, hear my voice. Let your ears be attentive to my cry for mercy. Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom.

  4. If you, Lord, kept a record of sins, Lord, who could stand? But with you there is forgiveness, so that we can, with reverence, serve you. Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom.

  5. I wait for the Lord, my whole being waits, and in his word I put my hope. I wait for the Lord more than watchmen wait for the morning, more than watchmen wait for the morning. Israel, put your hope in the Lord, for with the Lord is unfailing love and with him is full redemption. He himself will redeem Israel from all their sins. Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom.

  6. GOD SPEAKS TO US Direct me in the path of your commands, for there I find delight.

  7. (see daily Bible reading guide, or other Bible reading)

  8. WE CONFESS OUR FAITH

  9. (Apostles’ Creed, scriptural song, or other hymn/song)

  10. WE PRAY FOR OURSELVES AND THE WORLD Jesus has been made like us, his brothers and sisters, in every way. Let us pray to him. Lord Jesus:have mercy on us.

  11. We praise you, Lord Jesus, for preserving and redeeming our bodies: forgive us for neglecting the physical needs of others or hurting them in any way. Lord Jesus: have mercy on us. You instruct us to be wise with unbelievers: make the church’s public witness wise and attractive so that people are drawn to you. Lord Jesus: have mercy on us.

  12. You are the head of the human family: strengthen all marriages and families with your love, and draw the lonely and neglected into good company. Lord Jesus: have mercy on us. Thank you that you never slumber or sleep: protect us when we are vulnerable in the night hours and save us from eternal death. Lord Jesus: have mercy on us.

  13. (Other prayers may follow)

  14. Thanks be to you, my Lord Jesus Christ, for all the benefits you have won for me, for all the pains and insults you have borne for me. Most merciful Redeemer, Friend, and Brother, may I know you more clearly, love you more dearly, and follow you more nearly; for you live and reign with the Father and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen.

  15. WE PRAY THE LORD’S PRAYER

  16. GOD BLESSES US Jesus says: Blessed are those who hear God’s word and keep it. May the blessing of almighty God, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, be with us always. Amen.
