Launch of Mobile DTV by Public Television Stations

Public Television stations across various markets are eagerly anticipating the rollout of mobile television services. These stations are currently in discussions with the Open Mobile Video Coalition (OMVC) to establish initial distribution and programming offerings. Unlike group-owned stations, each Public Television station operates as a locally owned and controlled entity, allowing for individual decision-making regarding the deployment of mobile services. This initiative promises to enhance viewer access to public broadcasting content, enabling a more diverse and accessible viewing experience.
