Finances for HIM:GOD’s Way vs the World’s way 2Chron 1:10-12 • Wealth = has inherent, intrinsic value & was created by GOD: land; cattle; flocks; gold; silver; oil; gas; timber; gas; servants eg: Abram in Gen 13:2 Deut 8:18 18But remember the LORD your GOD, for it is HE who gives you the ability to produce wealth, and so confirms HIS covenant, which HE swore to your forefathers, as it is today. Prov 13:22 – wealth is meant to be an inheritance from generation to generation… for your grand-children!

Currency = prevailing unit of exchange that facilitates the transfer of goods & services – accepted by giver & recipient. • Money is: divisible; durable; transportable; easily recognisable; & scarce.

Finances for HIM:GOD’s Way vs the World’s way Math 22:15-22 • Money belongs to Man… & the ‘World System’ • Luke 16 describes money as ‘the little’ thing. • Some have tried to store wealth in money. • Money is subject to spirit of Mammon… Many times, people ‘changed’ when they have sold their wealth & converted it into money: Acts 4:34-11 Ananias & Sapphira John 12:6

Why does GOD want to prosper us? • Because we are HIS children… • HE wants to give good gifts to HIS children! • Math 7:9-11 • Jehovah Jireh = our provider; “Jehovah’s provision shall be seen” • Prov 13:22 • Because HE wants us free from worrying for our needs • Math 6:33

Why does GOD want to prosper us? • That we can be generous to others • Gen 12 “blessed to be a blessing..” • 2Corinth 8-9; esp. 9:7 • John 12:4-6 because he saw JESUS talk to rich young ruler Mark 10:17-31..? • That we can steward on Earth so as to store treasure in Heaven… • Math 6:19-21 • Mark 10:17-31
