  3. 4 Reasons Why Your Car Battery is Not Charging? • You’ve left your lights on, or some other accessory that draws electrical current from the battery even when your car isn’t running. It won’t take long before it drains your vehicle battery totally. • When you drive the car, the battery isn’t getting recharged, i.e., there is a mechanical charging issue. All vehicles have an alternator which charges the battery when the engine is running.
