With approval, the City of Miami Commission is directing the City Manager to: Provide the necessary resources of Planning & Zoning to: • Examine and modify zoning, as necessary, to allow for the single-family attached units (townhouses) and other standards contemplated in the Detailed Plan. This may include the creation of a new special district or an overlay ordinance. • Work with the Model City Trust to develop Architectural Guidelines for use by developers and property owners within the Home Ownership Zone. • Review all development projects within the Home Ownership Zone to assist with quality control.

  32. With approval, the City of Miami Commission is directing the City Manager to: Provide the necessary resources of Public Works and/or Capital Improvements, as appropriate to : • Initiate engineering and design, as necessary, for improvements to the public rights-of-way as contemplated in the Plan . • Assist the Trust in negotiations with utility companies over matters that may include relocating wires underground, removing unnecessary poles, consolidating poles etc. • Prioritize the infrastructure improvements and public buildings to be constructed within the Model City Homeownership Zone area. • Assist the Model City Trust with additional infrastructure and public building issues as necessary.

With approval, the City of Miami Commission is directing the City Manager to: Provide the necessary resources of Parks and Recreationto: • Introduce the elements of the Plan to the Parks Advisory Board for consideration and adoption. • Incorporate the Park Advisory Board’s approved elements of the Plan into the Park Strategic Plan. • Perform necessary actions to include the new parks or mini-parks within the Home Ownership Zone as they are created.

  34. Additionally, the City of Miami Commission directs the Miami Parking Authority to examine the common interests of the City of Miami, Model City Trust, and the Miami Parking Authority in increasing thecommercial activity along the commercial corridors within the Homeownership Zone through the introduction of necessary on-street and off-street parking.
