  1. Oliver and Cupcake By Ms. Conrad

  2. Oliver watches Cupcake run and run all day and night. Cupcake runs as fast as she can on her wheel. Faster and faster she goes while Oliver watches intently. 1.

  3. Cupcake is a bit of a hot rod on her wheel. She races and races and always ends up the winner. Oliver just watches wishing he could race too. 2.

  4. One sunny day, Cupcake was rapidly racing along with Oliver’s gaze upon her. When suddenly, the wheel stopped and Cupcake went flying off the wheel. She landed in the corner of her cage in complete shock and sadness. 3.

  5. Cupcake sat in the corner and sobbed like a little baby. Oliver looked at Cupcake and his heart began to break for his furry little friend. 4.

  6. Oliver tried to calm his little friend, “Don’t worry Cupcake, let me see if I can help you”. Oliver reached around the cage and between the bars with his very long paw. He found where the wheel was stuck and fixed the problem. 5.

  7. Cupcake squealed with surprise! She jumped for joy. She leaped with laughter. Then Cupcake looked at Oliver and thanked him very graciously. 6.

  8. Oliver saved the day! Cupcake jumped back on her wheel. 7.

  9. Oliver watches Cupcake run and run all day and night. Cupcake runs as fast as she can on her wheel. Faster and faster she goes while Oliver watches intently. 8.

  10. About the Author Ms. Conrad teaches first grade at Abraham Lincoln School. She loves writing books for her fabulous first grade friends and watching Oliver watch Cupcake run on her wheel all day and night.
