Discount Pass Program • Pilot program provides not-for-profit groups with discount pass options for their clientele • Groups purchase BOGO passes • Buy-One-Get-One match • Pay full price for 1st pass and • Get 2nd pass at no charge • FDOT funded program for 2013 and 2014 • $10,000 total funding each year • 10 groups helped in 2013 • 12 groups participating in 2014

  22. ADA and Paratransit • RTS Contracts with MV Transportation to provide Paratransit Service and Demand Response Service. MV provides approximately 10,000 trips a month. • RTS leases MV 22 Cutaway Paratransit vans to provide service to Alachua County and the City of Gainesville.

  24. Facility Expansion • Existing facility only houses 50-70 buses. • RTS fleet now has 123 buses • Received $38 million in FTA Grants • 150-bus facility (phase I) and additional • 50-bus parking facility (phase II) • Construction 95% complete • Fully functional by Jan. 2015

Proposed 8-year, 1 cent sales tax on Nov. 4 ballot • If passed by voters, eligible projects include • Increased frequency on weekdays & weekends • Extended hours of operation on routes • New weekend service (Routes 2, 6, 24 & 62) • Better accessibility at bus stops (ADA) • More stop amenities like benches & shelters • New buses to replace aging ones • Senior transportation options • New routes
