  2. About the I-pad An line of tablet computers designed and marketed by Apple Inc. released on April 3, 2010 Multi-touch screen and virtual keyboard Shoot videos, take photos, play music, send and receive email, browse the web, play games, reference, gps navigation, and social networking.

  3. Pros of the I-pad • Easy to use • Educational Purposes • Tutoring (games) • Audio visual (camera, video, video recorder) • Books (could relieve the load of a book bag) • Good for taking notes (helps with organization)

  4. Cons of the I-pad • Expensive (not everyone has the money to buy one) • Can create distractions • Students can use it for inappropriate reasons (ex. Pictures)

  6. I-pad used with 21stCentury Teaching and Learning • Digital learning is becoming more used in classrooms everywhere. The student is able to carry there notes and textbook all in one using the I-pad and the student doesn’t have the hassle of carrying textbooks and notebooks. • The teachers are able to use new teaching tools in the classroom using the I-pad such as using the different applications to teach their lesson plan. • Using the I-pad will make the classroom more engaged and interactive and keep students focused because they are using the technology they have been growing up with.

  7. IPAD • iPad inspires creativity and hands-on learning with features you won’t find in any other educational tool — on a device that students really want to use. Powerful apps from the App Store like iTunes U and iBooks let students engage with content in interactive ways, find information in an instant, and access an entire library wherever they go. And now with iPad mini, even more students can get their hands on iPad. • The iPad has become one of the most successful tablet computers in the market since the device was launched by Apple in April 2010. As it runs the same mobile operating system, iOS, as the iPhone, most apps designed for the iPhone would work on the iPad. If optimized, they work even better on the larger screen of the iPad.
