The initial success of Outdoor Rugs & Mats helped provide us the opportunity to create a strong network of stockists across Australia. The first 3 years saw Fab Habitat being represented across all the major postcodes. The Outdoor Rugs and Mats were available for customers through stockists located in all major cities. Besides if someone wanted to buy a design not available through stockists, the option to buy such a mat was always available. Every product goes through the various stages of its lifecycle. The success provided much needed capital to explore our chances to expand the range. This is a story of how each category became a part of our journey. Introduction of Indoor and Outdoor Ottomans Totally unique as a product, our first offering Ottomans were our first success other than the Outdoor Rugs and Mats. The Ottomans were practical for daily usage and the stockists loved the product. The big furniture shops ordered big. A customer from Mornington Peninsula loved the product so much so that she ordered more than 100 Ottomans which she could sell over the Christmas break. The ottomans were colourful, washable and offered a fantastic alternative for creating additional space for sitting. International Trade Fairs- Source of new Suppliers, New Products One of the categories that we are extremely proud of are our super soft multipurpose Kitchen Mats. Now available across all major postcodes of Australia, kitchen mats have become one of our largest products by the number of units sold per stockist. Domotex, Hannover along with other trade fairs became source of new unique products for. Fab Habitat now sells machine made rugs made in Turkey as well as China. Our wholesale range has the depth needed to fulfil the major needs of a homeware stockist. We offer handmade baskets, Placemats, Planters as well as storage solutions. These products along with other small handmade products made of cane and jute form a big part of a homeware stockists’ range. To reach new stockists and to display our wholesale range to existing stores Fab Habitat participates in Home & Gift Exhibitions twice a year in Sydney as well as Melbourne. Stockists from all over Australia visit these fairs looking for new unique products. We have always tried to surprise them in a pleasant way.
