  1. Crocodiles By Tom, Lauren and Jack.

  2. How they kill prey • First they attack from under the water. Then turn into a death roll, bite a chunk out and save the rest. Crocodiles eat more In summer than winter.

  3. Habitats • Most crocodiles spend part of their lives in water and part on dry land. • Their favourite places are the edges of lakes or rivers where there is a good supply of food . • If changes to their habitat affect food supply they may have to move away and find somewhere new to live.

  4. Are crocodilians dangerous? Crocodiles have a reputation as man-eaters but only a few are dangerous to humans. Most attacks happen when a crocodile is protecting its young. People should not go near the water or swim where crocodiles live.

  5. Crocodilian Ancestors • A terrestrisuchus was less than a metre long. Its long legs and very small feet allowed it to catch its prey.
