  2. Background • Sweet Beginnings Bakery is a local small business. • They sell all types of baked goods but specialize in wedding cakes. • Their current and only process is completely paper driven.

  3. Adding Business Value • Our database turns the bakery’s current manual process into an efficient and manageable process. • Their current manual process has the tendency to lose papers and information is difficult to gather and analyze. • Our database will add business value by providing the bakery with an effective way to store and manipulate their data regarding wedding cake orders.

  4. Database Design • Three Forms: • Event Information • Wedding Cake Details • Accessory Deposit Information • Five Reports: • Accessories not returned • Cake Balances Due • Customer Invoice • Location Report • Wedding Cake Contracts

  5. User Interface Design • Users would include: • Owners • Bakery Staff • Bakery staff will use the forms to take and maintain wedding cake orders. • The owners would use the reports to make management decisions such as advertisement, view balances, or mail invoices.
