In Summer 2011, the European Youth Forum conducted research highlighting a disconnect between politicians and young voters during European Parliament elections. Young people express distrust in politicians, while candidates often overlook youth issues. To bridge this gap, the League of Young Voters initiative informs and mobilizes youth regarding electoral matters, encouraging dialogue and addressing relevant concerns through non-partisan activities. The project unifies youth campaigns across Europe, provides educational resources, and fosters engagement between young people and political candidates, ultimately striving for a more inclusive democratic process.
