Croatian Communication and Information Society in addition we • contribute to education and knowledge, improvement of existingacademic and professionalprograms • assure transfer of technology, promote and translate recommendations and standards in ICT • publish professional, scientific and text books, conference proceedings, journals and magazines, promotional materials and documents in order to disseminate achievements in ICT area Taipei, November 2002 (2)

Croatian Communication and Information Society CCIS curriculum • it was founded two months ago, but the seeds has been germinated for years ago • initiativegroup included peoplefrom universities, ICT industry and operators • during last two months Society has registered 50 members coming from fourmain national centers (Split, Zagreb, Rijeka and Osijek) • there is a great interest of people in Croatia for memberships and participation inthe Society Taipei, November 2002 (4)

Croatian Communication and Information Society CCIS short term plans • significantly increase the number of active members • establish several working groups such as: • communication systems • information systems • software • services and applications • multimedia and virtual reality • electromagnetic ecology • establish a journal on software and communications in collaboration with ComSoc Taipei, November 2002 (5)
