  2. Spreadsheet A Spreadsheetis a document that stores data in a grid of rows and columns. Definition-

  3. Worksheet A worksheet is a single page of a speadsheat. Each worksheat contains different data on it. Definition-

  4. cell A cell is a box in which you can enter a piece of data. The data is usually text, numbers, or a formula. The entire spreadsheet is made of rows and columns of cells. Definition-

  5. Row A row runs horizontally across a spreadsheet in excel. Each row is defined by a number. Definition-

  6. Column A column runs vertically on a spreadsheet in excel. Each column is defined by a letter. Definition-

  7. Formula A formular is used to calculate multiple cells together by multiplication, adding, subtraction, etc. E.g. =(B2*B4) Definition-

  8. function • A function is a current formula in Excel. Like formulas, functions begin with  =followed by the function's name and its arguments. The function name tells Excel what calculation to perform. The arguments are contained inside round brackets. Definition-

  9. macro • A macro is a set of instructions that can be used by a keyboard shortcut. Macros can be used to remove/speed up the simple tasks e.g. changing the font of a spreadsheet. Definition-

  10. Conditional formating A format change, such as cell colour or font colour, that is applied to one or more cells when a specific condition for the data in the cells is true or false. Definition-

  11. Locking cells Definition- Locking cells allows you to protect your spreadsheet and hide your formulas. Doing this means that no one can type in cells that arntment to be typed in, or stop them from seeing what formula you have typed in.
