  1. The impeachment of Bill Clinton By, Bridget Levandowski

  2. Information During his first term as president, he wanted to focus on economy, family, education, crime, and health care. By 1994, he became very unpopular and did not follow the rules. Instead of cutting taxes, he raised them. He also did not work on health care, and ended up vetoing Republican budgets. Though, in 1996, the economy blossomed, which won his popularity back and was reelected in 1996. In 1998, however, he undermined his presidency. Bill Clinton was accused of two articles. One was from lying to a federal grand jury, and the other was obstruction of justice during a sexual harassment with Paula Jones. He was then sent for trial. During his jury, the votes split almost evenly among party lines, which made the case move to the senate for trial. Bill Clinton was impeached by the US House of Representatives on December 19th 1998. Clinton was the second US president ever in American history to be impeached.
