In Colossians 1:10, Paul encourages believers to walk in a manner worthy of the Lord by being fruitful and increasing in their knowledge of God. This prayer emphasizes the importance of having an intimate relationship with Jesus Christ as the foundation for spiritual growth. We grow in grace through three primary means: The Word of God, the Local Church, and the Holy Spirit. As we deepen our faith and understanding, we are rooted, built up, and established in Christ, leading to a life marked by thanksgiving and glory to God.
