Assessment • Two group courseworks 50% each – measured by peer assessment • Semester 1 • Requirements gathering and specification • Interaction Modeling • Review and Inspection • Lo-Fi Prototyping • Semester 2 • Re-design against patterns and UI principles • Hi-Fi Prototyping • End user evaluation using 2 or more techniques

  4. Sessions • 12 lectures and lab sessions in semester 1 covering the main syllabus • 12 problem based learning workshop sessions in semester 2 working on coursework 2 • Progress and team member engagement assessed by 3 interim reports

  5. Summary • About improving the quality of life via an engineering approach to the design of technology • Focuses on users more than tech • Uses a mix of traditional lectures and workshops
