  2. Homework and Supported Study Club For S1 - S6 In the Library Thursdays 3.30 – 4.30 pm Starts 23 January You will have the opportunity to use computers and books, complete homework and study. School Librarian on hand to help. Permission forms are required, pick up in the Library.

Vision & Values @ Lasswade • All classes were represented in the process of creating a new Vision Statement and Values for our new School in December 2013. • As well as creating a new Vision & Values, we decided that we will keep the School’s historic LATIN Motto in our badge:Usque Conabor “I shall keep trying” [The motto is essentially about Resilience & Effort which are important qualities for us all to continue to develop.]

VALUES FOR THE NEW • Lasswade High School • These are now agreed: • Determination • Respect • Effort • Ambition • Motivation • These VALUES were taken from the feedback from Class, Staff and Parent dot-mocracy exercises & discussions. They are what YOU want for the new Lasswade High School. • They will now be displayed across the School & Lasswade Centre.

  5. A New Vision Statement At the final stage the majority of students ‘by Year Group’ voted for the Vision ‘statement’: Dream, Believe and Achieve at Lasswade The winning statement will be linked to our ‘DREAM’values for the new School.

  10. S1 Football S1 Football Meeting at break today in room 001 to discuss Thursday’s Scottish Cup tie. Mr McQueen and Mr Dolan

S4 Duke of Edinburgh Group All Lasswade S4 Duke of Edinburgh students please attend a brief meeting in Room 105 (Mr Boyle’s room) at 1.25 pm prompt on Thursday 23 to make arrangements for expeditions in the spring! It’s important that you’re all there at the same time to organise expedition groups – if you can’t attend see Miss MacDonald or Mr Boyle in advance
