  8. Yuri Gagarin Yuri Gagarin was born in 9 March 1934. It was a soviet cosmonaut and the first human in the space, to do aboard the ship Vostok 1. A famous phrase was said (as his ship took off) Poyejali!, which in Russian means go!

  9. Youth of Yuri Yuri was working until 1954, with aims at Saratov city airfield. He learned to a fly a light aircraf, a hobby that became increasingly more intense. After completing his technical studies entered the Military School Of Pilots Of Orenburg, where Valentina Goricheva met and married her. In 1959 he ran for fst spaceflight. He died on March 27, 1968, 34 years old.

  11. Peggy Annette Whitson EXPERIENCE: From 1981 to 1985, Whitson conducted her graduate work in biochemistry at Rice University, Houston, Texas, as a Robert A. Welch Predoctoral Fellow. Following completion of her graduate work she continued at Rice University as a Robert A Welch Postdoctoral Fellow until October 1986. Following this position, she began her studies at NASA Johnson Space Center, Houston, Texas, as a National Research Council Resident Research Associate. From April 1988 until September 1989, Whitson served as the Supervisor for the Biochemistry Research Group at KRUG International, a medical sciences contractor at NASA-JSC. In 1991, Whitson was also invited to be an Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine and Department of Human Biological Chemistry and Genetics at University of Texas Medical Branch, Galveston, Texas.

  13. 10th Man To Walk On The MoonNASA astronaut Charles M. Duke, the 10th man to walk on the moon. Retired Brig. Gen. Duke served as lunar module pilot of Apollo 76 on its April 16-27, 1972, mission to the moon. He spent more than 20 hours on moonwalking activities during the mission.   14. VALENTINA TERESHKOVA She was born on March 6 1937 in Moscow and she died in 1999. She studied engineering and became an expert skydiver, so that in 1962 it became part of the Cosmonaut Training Center. She is the first woman in the space, she is a soviet astronaut(she is born in 6 March 1937). In 1963 she travelled in the VOSTOK VI. In her fight for the feminist movement she was the vice president ofthe Women Democratic International Federation. 

  15. VOSTOK VI Valentina Tereshkova was 2 days 22 hours 50 minutes in space aboard Vostok VI. It was released on June 16, 1963 at 9:29:52. In its first orbit, Vostok 6 was close to three miles.

  16. Mae Jemison Mae Jemison was born on October 17, 1956.

  17. Works and studies She was the first African American astronaut woman. She was a physician, too. She worked in the NASA in 1987 to 1993. She worked in the space equipment STS-47 in 1992.  Jemison founded The Jemison Group. This group developed, ALAFIYA, systems of satellite telecommunitations. She studied in the Stanford University and in the Weill Medical College of Cornell University.
