  2. One District…One Dream Goal: Riverside Elementary School will meet the Fundamental Practice Level or above in the critical element of Emotional Safety from the Safe and Nurturing Schools domain.

  3. In 2009-2010, Riverside Elementary attained a score of minimal practices in Emotional Safety. Emotional Safety was simply defined as feeling safe at school. Emotional Safety will now be defined as school culture embracing each individual. The school culture actively seeks additional methods to support emotional safety of each individual and to promote dignity and respect for all. Needs assessment

Evidence of Implementation of Emotional Safety • Student, Parent and Teacher Surveys (3 times) • SET Data, PBS tracking of tickets/rewards • Rapides Foundation Systemic Initiative Evaluation results • DIG • JBHM Walkthroughs, observations • Documentation of strategies from WBT, book studies as evidenced on WOW’s/Wish form • Increased student and teacher attendance

  6. Our Vision Riverside Elementary students will perceive their goals, believe in their abilities, and achieve success in the mastery of basic skills. Passion for learning is a key for any student to succeed as well as attending school on a regular basis. Our Ponies promote responsibility, respect, problem-solving, and peaceful solutions to everyday situations at school as the basis for positive behavior and

  7. Our Vision continued success. We strive to promote a positive and safe learning experience for our students at school through our staff, our parents, and our local communities. Without parental and community involvement, educational success is not complete.
