  2. Directions • Make sure there are 4 people at your table • If you have more than 4, move to a group of 3

Assignment • Each person in your group will be conducting research on ONE of the following Gothic writers: • 1-Hans Christian Anderson • 2-Nathaniel Hawthorne • 3-William Faulkner • 4-Edgar Allan Poe • On a half sheet of paper, write your name and your assigned topic—hold it up when you’re done

Guidelines • On a sheet of paper, copy the following guidelines for your research project: • ONE FULL PAGE OF NOTES (paraphrased) • Can be typed (MLA) or hand-written • Work Cited page (MLA)—USE MLA CITATION GUIDE IN INTERACTIVE BINDER! • Minimum of 2 credible sources • DUE THIS FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 6th!

  5. Guidelines Continued • Page of notes must include the following sub-points: • 1-Author Bio: Brief info about the writer • 2-Most Famous Work: Explanation of plot • 3-Writing Style: Themes, motifs, etc.
