  3. Beatrix Potter • Born on July28th,1866, in London • Her occupation was to write and illustrate books. • She was educated at home by a governess. • Died on Dec.22nd,1942, in sawrey.

  4. Beatrix Potter • She is best known for her children's books which include The Tale Peter Rabbit, The Tale of Benjamin Bunny, and The Tale of Squirrel Nutkin.

  5. Challenges…. • As a child she had no playmates her own age. • She was rejected from a school because she was a girl. • Then when she was engaged her fiancé’ suddenly died.

  6. Facts!... • She had a rabbit named Peter Piper, and a Belgian hare that she brought with her every time she went somewhere and he even had a leash! • As a teen Beatrix kept a journal from the age 14-30. She wrote in it every day with a code she made up herself! It wasn’t until 15 years after her death that the code was finally deciphered.
