Commissioning scenario Availability of components • January: DAQ • March: Piggy back plus test board • And first cassette assembled • May: prototype electronics for 2 entire cassettes • August: all cassettes and boards Possible test configuration • VME, PC, and software • Add front end card • And cassette with LEDs • Start electron test beam • Possibly extend to few layer a la minical • Cosmic test with full stack Goals: establish Readout chain Calibration Monitoring and stability HCAL main meeting

  3. New configuration for TailCatcher and PIN diode r/o • Uses existing HCAL base boards • Adapter for multi-coax lines by NIU/FNAL group HCAL main meeting

Tile HCAL @ LCWS05 We will coordinate talk requests from the TileHCAL group and interact with LCWS convenors Proposal to ask for: • Tile HCAL prototype overview • SiPMs and Tile fibre SiPM systems • Front end ASIC development • Calibration system • APD option: minical results and future • Testbeam software Plus talk(s) at DAQ session (invited) HCAL main meeting

  8. Testbeam @ FNAL • Proposal pre-submitted, waiting for final comments from FNAL management • Comprises worldwide effort – CALICE and non-CALICE • Starts in September with CALICE ECAL • We’re supposed to be next HCAL main meeting
