THE HUNT Invitation to Potential Members cont. • CRITERIA FOR JOINING YPO AND AFRICA’S GATEWAY CHAPTER • Age – Application must be approved before the applicant reaches his or her forty-fourth (44th) birthday.Title - President, Chairman, Chief Executive Officer, Managing Director, Managing Partner or Publisher.Qualifying Corporation - The candidate must meet at least one “A” requirement AND one “B” requirement.NB: For ALL R / $ conversions please use $1 = R5 and NOT the ruling currency exchange rate • A” Requirements - Requirement #1-The candidate must have at least 50 regular, full-time employees under his or her control. Persons engaged on a commission basis are considered employees if they are permanently connected with the corporation. OR “B” Requirements - Requirement #1-The corporation must meet dollar volume requirements based on the type of corporation he or she runs, as follows:-Sales/Services/Manufacturing corporations must have at least US$8,000,000 in gross annual sales or turnover.-Financial institutions must have average annual assets of at least US$160,000,000.- Agency-type businesses must have annual fees or commissions billed of at least US$6,000,000. OR Requirement #2-The total compensation of all employees, excluding the compensation of the candidate, must exceed US$1,000,000.Requirement #2- The corporation must have an enterprise value of US$10,000,000 as defined by one of the following: - Net worth or assets before depreciation of US$10,000,000.-Independent third-party investment/ valuation of US$10,000,000-The sum of the company’s public equity value plus its debt less cash must equal US$10,000,000.You must be available to attend various functions in and around Johannesburg, South Africa. COMPREHENSIVE TASTE OF FORUM • Since July 1st 2005, every new member and spouse is entitled to a Comprehensive New Member Orientation that includes Forum • A perfect tool for new member and spouse induction • A plug-and-play training guideline is available on MyYPO • Chapters receive $250 per member and $250 per spouse to cover costs; the credit is valid for one year after join date • Please ensure that the new members are given this opportunity • Liaise with your forum officer for more details

MEMBERSHIP UPDATES • Initiation fee as of 1 July = US$1500 • Membership Dues as of 1 July = US$2500 • Deadline for Renewal from 1 July to 1 June • Online dues and recertification status available on MyYPO (under Chapter Operating Tools) • New members joining between 1 Jan – 30 Jun pay dues, but do NOT have to recertify during renewal • All Members joining between: • 1 April – 30 June pay prorated Current FY dues PLUS upcoming FY dues. Not required to go through membership renewal until following year
