  11. How it works • The SRU Client searches for new bibliographic records that have holdings. • Once found these are pushed to Libraries Australia in real time. VALA 2012

  12. What SRURecord Update does • Adds new bibliographic records with holdings • May delete and update holdings • Does not update bibliographic records or add bibliographic records without holdings VALA 2012

  13. What if your system doesn’t have a SRU Client? The Synchronization Gateway is a middleware widget obtainable from OCLC. It sits on your system. It is used to query your system to find, select and push new bibliographic records with holdings. (OCLC = Online Computer Library Center) VALA 2012
