  5. XField - Capabilities • Optimum Detection Mass 35 Kg (77 lbs.) or greater • Maximum Non-detection Mass 10 Kg (22 lbs.), provided there is no contact with any wire • Maximum Zone Length 150 m (500 ft) • Minimum Detection Velocity Adjustable to < 5.0 cm/s (2 in./s) • Maximum Detection Velocity up to 8 m/sec (26 ft./sec) • Maximum Detection Distance Adjustable up to 0.5 m (19 in.) From the plane of the wires • Minimum Detection Height • 4-wire configurations 1.0m (3.3 ft) • 8-wire free-standing 2.0m (6.6 ft.) • 8-wire fence-mounted 2.45m (8.0 ft.) • Maximum Detection Height • 4-wire free standing 2.0m (6.6 ft.) • 8-wire free standing 4.6m (15.1 ft.) • 4-wire fence mounted 2.45m (8.0 ft.) • 8-wire fence mounted 5.65m (18.5 ft.)

  6. XField - Benefits • Full independent monitoring of all Sense Wires • Minimum effect from extreme environment • Separate relay outputs for Alarm Zone A, Alarm Zone B, Supervision and Fail • Totally NEW high performance mounting hardware • Totally NEW next generation direct-to-digital processor • Configured from a laptop using the NEW Senstar-Stellar UCM (Universal Configuration Module) Software

  7. XField Latest Developments - Hardware • Totally NEW Insulator Hardware • Common insulator assembly for the entire perimeter • Self-cleaning insulators, free of insects • Simplified wire tensioning procedure • More rugged mechanical design • NEW 316 stainless steel sensor wire • NEW Simplified splicing at the start and at the end of the zone • Simple resistor terminator • Factory-assembled lead-in cable 8 m (26 ft.) long • NEW simplified connection to the Processor • The Isolation Transformer (Sense Filter) has been eliminated. • Simple Phoenix terminals on the Processor Card for power and data • BNC coaxial connectors for the Field and Sense wires • All inputs and outputs have lightning protection • NEW Aluminum enclosure

  8. XField Latest Developments - Firmware • NEW more powerful Digital Signal Processor uses a single FPGA (Field Programmable Gate Array) and high speed ADC (Analog to Digital Converter) technology • Direct-to-Digital front end • Part of a whole new family of perimeter security products • NEW full independent monitoring of each Sense Wire • Minimizes environmental effects • Distinguishes between faulty insulators and intruders • NEW lower Field Voltage and Frequency • Four operating frequencies (8000, 8320, 8640 & 8960) notch filters at both 50 Hz and 60 Hz to reject power line pickup • NEW Local and Remote Maintenance using the UCM software

  9. XField Processor – Auxiliary Cards • Optional auxiliary cards enhance functionality: • Output card provides 8 Form C relay outputs (rated 1.0 A @ 30 VDC/VAC) in addition to the 4 relay outputs already present on the processor card. • RS422 Comm card supports two RS422 (4-wire) data lines, where a separate data network is required. • Fiber Optic Comm card supports two multimode fiber optic data lines, where a separate data network is required. • Auxiliary Power Supply accepts 18 to 56 VDC and provides 12 VDC, 150mA • NOTE: For networked data, every sensor processor must have a Comm card (RS422 or Fiber Optic). • The Comm Card does all data handling and regeneration.

  10. XField Latest Developments – UCM Software • Laptop running UCM software is connected through a USB port directly to the XField Processor • All parameters are configured through UCM • Multiple maintenance and diagnostic tools • Reliable line supervision with diagnostic capabilities • When UCM is installed on the same computer as the Silver Network Manager, the UCM can be used to remotely configure, maintain and monitor any XField processor on the network.

  11. XField Processor (XP) Detail of the cable feed-through on the bottom of the enclosure XP with cover opened XP fits into optional Telecom enclosure

  12. Powering Options • 12 VDC • 48 VDC (18 to 56 VDC) • 6 VDC backup battery on enclosure cover (standard) • 6 W maximum with one Auxiliary Card • - 40oC to + 70oC (- 40oF to + 158oF) • Optional auxiliary power output module: 18 to 56 VDC input, 12 VDC @ 150 mA output at each processor

  13. Alarm Outputs • Relay outputs are Form C rated at 30 VDC, 1.0 A maximum, non-inductive load • There are 4 output relays per processor: • 2 Alarm relays (one per zone) • 1 Supervision relay • 1 Fail relay • Alternatively, the processor can be configured for a Senstar-Stellar Silver data network and control system • All alarms are reported on a central display • All parameters can be set and adjusted for each processor from the Network Manager or the UCM connected to the processor • A daughter card (RS422 or fiber optic) is required on all processors • Silver is the new Senstar-Stellar data network protocol
