The recent exercise highlighted the importance of effective teamwork and communication within OSOCC operations. Key takeaways include the role of dedicated liaison officers and the necessity of a permanent communication focal point for UNDAC. The exercise also provided an excellent opportunity to evaluate our "fly away kit" capabilities supplied by SRSA, while adhering to INSARAG guidelines on self-sustainability. Lessons learned will guide improvements in OSOCC’s response capacity, addressing identified strengths and weaknesses for better future operations.
