Babe then entered a track and field competition as a one-woman team. All by herself, she won! By 1932 Babe was invited to the Olympics. Each athlete was allowed a maximum of three events. Babe earned gold medals in the javelin and 80-meter hurdles, plus silver in the high jump. A. Babe’s success in track quickly became Olympic gold. B.
