  2. Our Mission Academy by the Sea will create an environment where the concepts of independence, acceptance, cooperation, courtesy, and grace along with a commitment to rigorous academic expectations produce students who are prepared to become leaders in the global community.

  4. Bringing Public School Back to the Beaches The closing of Gulf Beaches Elementary School left a hole in the community and caused many families to seek education miles from their homes. Bringing a public school option back to the beaches will help energy and life to the community.

  5. Details about ABTS ABTS will serve roughly 140 students We will serve children from 4-8th grades Montessori based philosophy Inquiry based learning for the 21st century child

  6. What is a charter school? Public school Open to all who apply-admission by lottery Follows all state laws Operated by a non-profit board Authorized by the district

  7. How can ABTS help the community? Completely funded through state per pupil funds no cost to St. Pete Beach Partner with the community encourage patronage at local businesses Makes St. Pete Beach marketable to young families
