CAPWAP Alternate Tunnel Encapsulation for Data Frames: Status Update and Future Steps

The IETF draft for the alternate tunnel encapsulation method in CAPWAP has been adopted as a working group item. Following community feedback during the adoption call, significant revisions are underway. A major draft update is expected by the end of this IETF session, with a focus on protocol format and IANA sections. The next version is anticipated to be ready for Working Group Last Call (WGLC), aiming to enhance standards for data frame encapsulation within the CAPWAP protocol.
