Pick 5-6 areas that are most important to you, and draw your star.

What are the organizational consequences of people feeling and acting small, diminishing or limiting others, and being “small” as a team or group/function?

  15. Inclusion is… A sense of belonging: Feeling respected, valued, and seen for who we are as individuals; There is a level of supportive energy and commitment from leaders, colleagues, and others so that we – individually and collectively – can do our best work.

  19. 12 Inclusive Behaviors Greet people authentically—say hello. Create a sense of “safety” for yourself and your team members. Work for the common good and shared success. Listen as an ally—listen, listen, listen and engage. Lean into discomfort—be willing to challenge self and others. Put your stake in the ground and be willing, eager and able to move it.

  20. 12 Inclusive Behaviors Link to others’ ideas, thoughts, and feelings. Create 360-degree vision: Ask others to share their thoughts and experiences and accept their frame of reference as true for them. Address misunderstandings and resolve disagreements. Speak up when people are being excluded. Ask who else needs to be in the room to understand the whole situation. Build trust: Do what you say you will do and honor confidentiality.
