Percussion. Snare. The snare drum is a small drum that is played with a pair of drumsticks. It has wires, or snares , tightened across the bottom of the drum that give it a distinct sound. Bass Drum. The bass drum is a large drum played with a soft beater.

  2. Snare • The snare drum is a small drum that is played with a pair of drumsticks. • It has wires, or snares , tightened across the bottom of the drum that give it a distinct sound

  3. Bass Drum • The bass drum is a large drum played with a soft beater. • The bass drum is played in the concert band and orchestras

  4. Xylophone

  5. Timpani • The timpani is a large kettle drum played with soft mallets. • There is a pedal on the timpani and the player can tighten the dead of the drum with a pedal to raise or lower the pitch to change notes.
