Its main architectural component has the shape of a diamond. The library's new building was opened on 16 June 2006. The library service is in great demand. More than 90 thousand citizens of Belarus are library users, who annually request 3.5 million documents. Every day the library is visited by more than 2,200 people. The library delivers about 12,000 documents daily.

  5. The Mirsky Castle Complex is a UNESCO World Heritage site in Belarus located in the town of Mir in the Karelichy District of the Grodno Region. The construction of the castle began at the end of the 15th century, in the Gothic architecture style. Building of the castle was completed by Duke Ilinich in early 16th century near the village Mir. Around 1568 the Mir Castle passed into the hands of Mikołaj Krzysztof "the Orphan" Radziwiłł, who finished building the castle in the Renaissance style. A three-storey palace was built along the eastern and northern walls of the castle. Plastered facades were decorated with limestone portals, plates, balconies and porches.

  6. Lake Skachalskoe keeps a lot of secrets. The lake is surrounded by a forest. It’s not very big (0.45 sq. km. ) but very beautiful. There are some stories about its origin. One of them tells that the lake replaced the church which fell through deep into the earth. Another story tells that many years ago there was a great drought. A piece of a swamp burnt and came down. The place filled up with water. This place is popular with native people and visitors. They believe that its water can cure and it makes people cheerful. It’s true because there is very much oxygen in the water.

  8. The CN Tower is the tallest building in Canada. It is also one of Ontario’s most popular places to visit. It’s about 553m tall.

  15. Portugal

  16. All of Obidos has been declared a national monument.  It is known as the "Wedding Present Town" because it was a gift King Dinis gave to Queen Isabel on their wedding day in 1282, but that alone is not what makes it such an extraordinarily romantic place -what make it one of Europe's most romantic medieval villages are its incredibly picturesque cobblestone streets lined with colorful houses filled with geraniums and bougainvillea, Gothic doorways and windows, whitewashed churches, flowerpots and dazzling tiles -- all encircled by the walls of a 12th century castle. Scaling its 13m (45ft)-high medieval walls is the best way to admire this picture postcard-perfect place.

  17. Built in the 1840s, it is one of Europe's most fantastic palaces, often compared to Neuschwanstein and the other mock-medieval castles of Ludwig of Bavaria in Germany, although it was actually built more than two decades before those. It includes a drawbridge, a conglomeration of turrets, ramparts, and domes, and a gargoyle above a Neo-Manueline arch, all washed in an array of pastel shades. The extravagant interior is decorated in late Victorian and Edwardian furnishings, rich ornaments, paintings, and priceless porcelain preserved just as the royal family left them.

  18. Ukraine

  19. The monastery was founded in the eleventh century by monks Antoniy and Feodosiy who established their cells in the caves (in Ukrainian: pechery — hence the name Pechersk). The monastery soon grew to be a major monastic community with churches, refectories, buildings of monk cells occupying a large territory. Lavra is a title which was awarded only to very large and important monasteries. The PecherskLavra Monastery in Kyiv was a bulwark of Christianity and an important cultural center.

  20. That date to the pre-Christian times and may be as ancient as twenty five hundred years old or even older, dot the vast Ukrainian steps; these idols may have seen the invading army of the mighty Persian king Darius whom the wily Scythians forced to retreat ignominiously.

  21. A natural boundary «Cascades» near the village of Zlynky in Maloviskivskii district is a corner of exotic things of primitive nature with the real waterfalls which noisily run between enormous granite stones.

It connects China and Pakistan across the Karakoram mountain range, through the Khunjerab Pass, at an altitude of 4,693 m/15,397 ft as confirmed by both SRTM and multiple GPS readings. It connects China's Xinjiang region with Pakistan's Gilgit-Baltistan and also serves as a popular tourist attraction. It is now part of the route officially known as as N-35 within Pakistan. Due to its high elevation and the difficult conditions in which it was constructed, it is also referred to as the "Ninth Wonder of the World
