  4. Protein The reason why protein is so important in our diet because it helps with muscle repair and growth. Protein can be found in such foods as meat, eggs, dairy, seeds, nuts and legumes. Cheese Meat Seeds and nuts Eggs

  5. Carbohydrates Carbohydrates are important for our bodies because they give us energy. Carbohydrates can be found in foods such as pasta, potatoes and wholegrains. Pasta Wholegrains Potatoes

  6. Fats The purpose of fats are to regulate body temperature and supply energy. Fats are found in butter, oils and meat fats. Butter Oils
