  3. What does it mean to be ordained? • Ordain- the process by which an individual is consecrated, that is, set apart as a clergy to perform various religious rites and ceremonies. A Holy order (through the laying on of hands) that establishes or promotes a preexisting quality in an individual. To set in order, bring into being or decree. • When we are ordained it doesn’t signify something is added to us but rather that something is recognized in us. Acts 6:1-7 *5* • Laying on of hands- a parental bestowal of inheritance rights, the bestowal of blessings, the gifts and rights of an office. • Numbers 27:15-23, Deuteronomy 34:9

  4. What changes when you are ordained? • You are challenged on a higher level- 1 Timothy 4:12-16 • You have to embrace the vision of the body as your own! (No more wavering!) • You have to put everyone before yourself- Matthew 25:33-40, Ephesians 4:11-14 • You have to realize this isn’t a call to simply lead but mostly to serve.
