  3. Funds & Schedule Update • $1,358,800 • Applications Due Tuesday, April 21st • KCD Grant Decision moved to July 16th Salmon Recovery Council Meeting – Big grant programs decisions day!

  4. Overall Guidance • Implements Actions on the Plan Start-List – Tier I and Tier II • Consistent with WRIA 8 Conservation Strategy • Consistent with KCD Policies and Procedures • Consistent with Regional Funding Principles

  5. 2008 Guidance • Monitoring – Fish In / Fish Out (non-competitive): • 1/4 or 25% ~ $300,000 • Site-specific Projects: • 2/3 or 67 % • Studies, Education & Outreach/ Discretionary Funding: • 1/12 or 8% Approximately $1.2 Million

  6. Proposed Guidance • The WRIA 8 Project Subcommittee will use its discretion to provide funding recommendations based on submitted project applications and the guidance from the Salomon Recovery Council.

  7. Decision - 2009 Guidance • Monitoring – (non-competitive): • ~1/4 or 25% ~ $300,000 • Site-specific Projects: • ~2/3 or 67 % up to ~ 72% • Studies, Education & Outreach • ~1/12 or 8% • Project Subcommittee balances recommendations based on guidance and applications.
