Proposed changes to WCA. Treated as having LCW. Expanded to include: Likely to have chemo in next 6 months (also gives treated as having LCWRA) Meeting support group descriptors for eating and drinking/chewing and swallowing In residential rehab for treatment of drug or alcohol additions.

  2. Treated as having LCW Expanded to include: Likely to have chemo in next 6 months (also gives treated as having LCWRA) Meeting support group descriptors for eating and drinking/chewing and swallowing In residential rehab for treatment of drug or alcohol additions

Main changes - physical Walking now 'mobilise' – criteria for ability to repeat Standing or sitting - at workstation Bending and kneeling gone Manual dexterity – keypad button, suitable mouse or keyboard Speech – making self understood Hearing – being understood Vision – able to navigate safely Continence – require change of clothing Consciousness – has to be within last month

Main changes - mental Learning – whether you can learn or not Awareness of hazard – requiring supervision Memory and concentration, execution of tasks, sustaining personal action – 2 sequential tasks Getting about – includes unfamiliar place Social situations – becomes social engagement Appropriateness of behaviour – whether unreasonable in workplace Dealing with other people - withdrawn

  5. Main changes - LCWRA Walking becomes mobilising – increased to 50m and repetition brought in Manual dexterity – keypad or pages of book Continence – at least once a week requiring change of clothes Communication – making self understood or understanding simple message Maintaining personal hygiene and personal action combined New descriptors – awareness of hazard, coping with change, coping with social engagement, appropriateness of behaviour
