During the summer, campers jump into action, participating in exciting sports programs, exploring nature, becoming involved in performing and creative arts, playing a part in group activities, and attending special events. Our campers have the opportunity to expand their horizons during the summer, embarking on new adventures, and having fun! Our exceptional program and dedicated staff create an environment that forges lifelong friendships among our campers. We create a summer experience that is unforgettable! It all starts with our outstanding camp counselors! A camp is only as good as its staff, and we are extremely proud of ours. Talent, creativity, love of children, leadership and devotion make our camp counselors the heart and soul of the program. Camp Zone® counselors are doing exactly what they enjoy most: spending a summer inspiring campers to explore, reach for new heights, and expand their horizons.   2. highlights Highlights of Camp Zone ExperienceSummer Adventure 2013-Charlotte Sports Weekly Themes Week 1: Nascar Week-Kick off the summer by racing into camp. Discover the fast pace world of Nascar Racing. Week 2: Golf Week-Score a hole in one. This week you will discover the exciting world of golf. Week 3: Bobcats Basketball Week-We’re playing basketball with the Charlotte Bobcats. Week 4: Gymnastics Week-Stretch your mind and body as we learn about getting fit. Week 5: Charlotte Roller Derby Week-Get your roll on the week with visits from the Charlotte Roller Derby girls. Week 6:M.A.C. Swimming Week-Splish, Splash. Water makes playtime fun in the sun. Week 7: Charlotte Hounds Lacrosse-Swing on in and learn about Lacrosse. Week 8: Charlotte Knights Baseball Week-Swing batter, batter, swing! This week we learn about the Charlotte Knights baseball team! Week 9:Charlotte Eagles Soccer Week-Join us as we introduce soccer skills, and the Charlotte Eagles. Week 10: Charlotte Checkers Hockey-Enjoy the chill as we explore hockey and the Charlotte Checkers. Week 11: Carolina Panthers Week-Touchdown with us as we explore the Carolina Panthers along with Sir Purr. At Chesterbrook Academy, we believe in nurturing the whole child with encouraging staff, discovery learning and fun recreational activities. We will provide opportunities for active play and focused activities planned around bi-weekly themes that encourage self esteem, friendship and lasting memories. *All activities listed are subject to change. We may substitute, add or reschedule activities based on availability, transportation, and other considerations. You will receive a calendar of all confirmed activities at least two weeks in advance. You will be notified in writing of any changes to the monthly calendar. *
