  2. Highlights

  3. Introduction • RAD’s RF Planner (Airmux-Planner) is a user friendly WEB application • It offers a professional platform to design & analyze an RF network with integrated Analysis Tools, Built-in Report Generator and complete product DB access • With Google Earth Add-In & .NET included, planning sites & radio links is easy and fast

  4. Highlights • Supports Airmux complete product line (PtP and PtMP radio systems) • Embedded .NET 4, Google Earth Plug-in and JavaScript API • User-friendly 3D appearance • Online (WEB) Application • Product Portfolio: easier & faster Lookup • Site Properties On-Demand Display • Radio Planning Tools • Radio Analysis Tools • Easy-Share: Export & Import • Planning Report (Word 2007 / 2010 Format)

  5. Radio Planning Tools • Link Budget Calculator • Frequency Assignment • Service Evaluation • The Link Budget Calculator displays every link in a separate line: • Channel BW • Radio type • Air Rate • RSSI on both sites • Required Service • Service status (Up / Down)

  6. Radio Planning Tools • Link Budget Calculator • Frequency Assignment • Service Evaluation Users may assign frequencies manually or automatically using the Frequency Assignment process The FA Process examines the available channels and assigns the channel with best criteria

  7. Radio Planning Tools • Link Budget Calculator • Frequency Assignment • Service Evaluation The SE utility regards all the links as one entity (plan) This is why this step should be performed after assigning the frequencies In case of interferences, the tool advises which link(s) needs to be modified to allow completing the plan successfully

  8. Radio Analysis Tools • LOS Coverage • Link Extrude / Intrude • Profile Analysis • Mutual Interference • Line of Sight coverage can be configured to display 360deg coverage and/or sector areas • Every LOS display can be configured by the user: • Dedicated color & opacity • Radio height (local & remote) • Radius

  9. Radio Analysis Tools • LOS Coverage • Link Extrude / Intrude • Profile Analysis • Mutual Interference Radio links can be displayed as 3D Walls for better LOS analysis

  10. Radio Analysis Tools • LOS Coverage • Link Extrude / Intrude • Profile Analysis • Mutual Interference Fresnel zones and clearance factor and displayed per link To improve the link availability, users can edit the radio link heights and frequency as well

  11. Radio Analysis Tools • LOS Coverage • Link Extrude / Intrude • Profile Analysis • Mutual Interference Probable mutual interferences are displayed in a single window to allow faster decision making and editing

  12. Easy File Maneuvers • Current Version Display • Save / Save As / CTRL+S • Quick Access to Plan Settings • Recent Plans • Import / Export projects (.prj) • Load / Browse / Create a new plan Did You Know? With “Import” and “Export” you can easily share your Plans with other end-users

  13. Adding Sites & Points • Add Point: • Reference data to assist with planning • Points cannot be used when setting up RF links • Add Site: • Name • Latitude • Longitude • Height Did You Know? Points can be promoted to Sites: Coordinates are automatically assigned!

  14. Finding Sites & Locations • Import Geo-Data: • Save time by importing a single list of sites (KMZ) • Share with others your Site Map by Exporting a KMZ file • Find Address: • Street names • City name • Free text Example: Search result for: “Eiffel Tower”

  15. Managing the Plan Display • Navigation & Summary: • Search any item on plan • List sites/points/links • Map Layers display filter Did You Know? Using Google Earth Layers can improve your LOS analysis

  16. Faster Planning Analysis using RAD Radio Layers  

  17. Selecting the Right Product for the Plan… • Get Products • Select your product you need using advanced filter criteria • Current products: • Refine your current plan(add or remove items) Did You Know? You can add a product by name if you already know its part number…

  18. Re-assign Products is Fast and easy • Default Product to use: • Applies to newly added products only • Set Default Configuration • Copy “Selected Product” from one link to another

  19. Configuring the Radio Links • Online link status • Online link properties • Flexible, easy to select a radio • Collapsed / Expended Site View • “Details” shows all possible cause for interferences • Automatic and Manual channel selection • Suitable for users who wish to practice (trial & error)

  20. Changing Bands • Airmux radios are multi-band (Combo) • With a single click a new band is assigned

  21. Color Codes for Easier Digestion… Yellow = Mouse cursor is hovering above the link for editing • PtP links are represented by a thin line • PtMP links are represented by a thick line Red = Link is Down Green = Link is Up

  22. Enhanced Report Generator • Easy to edit: 2007 / 2010 Word Formats • The report includes: • Site Coordinates • Plan Image • Link Budget Analysis • Frequency Assignment Analysis • Service Evaluation • Your own Brand Logo • Bill of Material
